Our Goal
Kästner Kolleg e.V. is a non profit language institute in Dresden.
Our goal is to bring the German language and culture to interested students all over the world and at the same time give them a home away from home.
Kästner Kolleg would like to offer an alternative for those who are unsatisfied with the cookie cutter language instruction given at large institutions, and are looking to learn a foreign language in a practical, effective and fun manner. For us, that means smaller groups, qualified native speaking teachers, modern teaching methods, materials and media.
You are the focus of all our efforts. Before you step in a classroom,
a placement test is taken, which will help us to find the most fitting course
group for you. Consultation and guidance towards your goals, and regular
evaluations of your results are a given at Kästner Kolleg.
Because we offer English, Spanish, Italian, Polish, Russian as well as German exclusively with native speakers, an international atmosphere reigns at Kästner Kolleg. Multi-cultural in the truest sence of the word.
Quality, Tandems and Travels
As a member of TANDEM International, a 30 strong organisation of certified language school, we are regularly inspected for quality standards and certified.
And as a TANDEM school, we can arange language tandems as well as language trips abroad to other quality language schools.
Our Teachers
The director, Dr. Uwe Kästner, has more than 20 years of experience in teaching German as a foreign language. He attained his Ph.D in Applied Linguistics and has worked throughout the world for universities, the Goethe-Institut and the DAAD.
Our teachers are all native German speakers, have university diplomas and several years of teaching experience. They are your learning partners who bring with them professionality and intercultural competence as well as a willingness to help, patience and motivation.
Our Classrooms
Our school has 7 fully equipped modern classrooms, a private study room with a library, computer and internet service with WLAN, and a small cafeteria.
